When?

SLUT Opening Day (Dec 12th???) - 5pm meetup/5:30pm ride if weekday, during official ceremony if weekend)

Where?

• Meet at Denny Park, along Dexter.
• ride this route continually for an hour.

How?

• RCW 46.61.755 states cyclists are "granted all of the rights and shall be subject to all of the duties applicable to the driver of a vehicle"
• RCW 46.61.770 states cyclists "shall ride as near to the right side of the right through lane as is safe."
• It's your duty to not get a wheel stuck in the SLUT tracks--that would be unsafe.
• The gap in the SLUT track is 44mm wide.
  • If your tires are > 44mm wide (mountain bike tires are ~49mm wide) ride in the curb lane. Block the slut if it's behind you. Too bad it's not an electric bus that could pass you, eh? Remember, SDOT said it may not be advisable, but with your big tires you'll be okay.
  • If your tires are thiner, ride one lane to the left of the curb lane (excluding northbound between Thomas & Harrison). Remember SDOT said they don't recommend riding between the tracks.
  • If you like cheeseburgers and Santa suits, you get a wheelchair and ride the streetcar. Take your time loading and unloading.

Fun?

• chant -- "The SLUT won't run until the streets are done." And by done we mean sharrowed.
• t-shirt slogans -- "SLUT: Tracks Wide Open", or "Get run over by the SLUT", or "SLUT: Blood on the tracks", or "Paul Allen, you kill us"
